How do I play the game?

All players receive a secret word except one — the imposter — who gets a different but related word. Take turns giving one-word clues, discuss, then vote to find the fake. See the full rules at /rules.

Can I play without an internet connection?

Yes. Pass & Play mode works completely offline — one phone is passed around so each player can privately view their word.

How does Local WiFi mode work?

All players join the same WiFi network. One player hosts a room; others discover and join it. No internet required — the game runs entirely on your local network.

Can I play online with friends in another city?

Yes. Use Online mode — create a room and share the 6-character code. Friends anywhere in the world can join with that code.

The other player's phone isn't showing my room. What do I do?

Make sure both devices are on the same WiFi network and that Local Network permission is granted (iOS: Settings → Who's Fake? → Local Network). If the room still doesn't appear, try closing and reopening the app on both devices.
