How to Play Imposter Game Undercover Spy Edition

The imposter game undercover spy version (often just called "Undercover") adds a layer of depth to the standard "find the fake" format. In this edition, it's not just Civilians vs. One Imposter—there are often multiple roles with different levels of information.

The Three Roles in Undercover Spy

1. The Civilians: Everyone gets the same secret word.

2. The Undercover: This player gets a word that is very similar to the civilians' word (the classic imposter role).

3. The Spy: This player gets no word at all. They must guess the word entirely based on other people's clues.

Rules for the Undercover Spy Edition

Clue Round: Each player gives their clue. The spy has to be the most careful, as they have zero information!
Discussion: Players try to figure out who is "undercover" and who is the literal "spy."
Guessing: In some variations, if the Spy is caught, they get one final chance to guess the Civilians' word to win anyway.
